  Andy has always been inspired and energized through music. Coming from Northfield, MN, Andy sang in the Northfield Youth Choirs under Cora Scholz and Dr. Anton Armstrong learning the discipline it requires to take choral singing to a higher art form. From there Andy continued to develop his musicality by taking part in band, choir and orchestra in high school where he was able to participate in the Minnesota All State Choirs, a capstone to his junior and senior year.
  Andy is a recent graduate from Concordia College in Moorhead, Minnesota where he toured nationally and internationally with the world renowned, Concordia Choir under the direction of Conductor/Composer Dr. René Clausen. By being classically trained Andy feels that this has not only helped him develop as a musician but ultimately as a person.

A specific point of interest! Growing up in Northfield, Andy first heard InPulse when he was a senior in high school which motivated him to create his own a cappella group in college, VIBE. From there he maintained his ties with the guys of InPulse while developing his vocal/vocal percussion skills in his own way. Now that Andy has joined the group, he is finding new ways to develop as a musician through vocal percussion. Andy enjoys retraining his mind to think about music differently which constantly keeps it refreshing and alive for him.
